Marshalls Grand Opening
If you haven't already heard, Marshalls has finally come to Canada! Marshalls stores offer brand-name and designer goods for men, women, teens and kids for less than manufacturer's suggested retail price. If you've never been to Marshalls before it's basically another Winners except I find that Marshalls has a wider selection of brand name goods and products that interest me.
Today was the grand opening for the Ajax & Mississauga store. There are currently five locations in Canada, all situated in Ontario -two in Toronto, one in Woodbridge and the other two that just opened today. After work I rushed to Ajax to pick-up my mom and we headed to the store together. The store was packed with people to the point where it was difficult to move around especially in the shoe and cosmetic department. One of the things that I really liked about the store was the well organized shoe department. The other departments required a bit more time to rummage around in order to find stuff.
After spending sometime in the store I started to notice that the prices for the Canada store are tremendously higher than the prices for Marshalls in the U.S. If you go to an Abercrombie & Fitch store in Canada & look at the price tags that have both the Canadian and U.S price printed on it you will notice the same trend. I don't quite understand how that works when the Canadian and American dollar are at par right now. However, even with the higher prices for us Canadians it still beats paying regular price.
Overall, I'm glad that Marshall's has finally opened in Canada. I will definitely be repaying another visit to the store soon once the crowds die down!

Eos Lip Balm (Summer Fruit Flavour) Review
Product description
“Eos lip balm is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth” (www.evolution ofsmooth.com)
According to their web-site there are currently 5 flavours available Summer Fruit, Lemon Drop SPF 15, Honeysuckle Honeydew, Medicated Tangerine & Sweet Mint. I have also seen Passion fruit and Strawberry sorbet sold together as a package but I have been told that these two are limited edition flavors.
Pros
· Long-lasting moisture
· 100% natural
· Pleasant smell
Cons
· A bit pricey for a drug store lip balm
· Almost impossible to find in Canada
· Lacks SPF
My Opinion
During winter, my lips become very chapped and I find myself having to constantly re-apply lip balm. However, even with constant reapplication my lip still continues to crack and peel. With the eos lip balm I find myself not needing to re-apply it as often. It doesn’t leave a waxy film behind like my previous lip balms and actually hydrates my lips for a long period of time. I dislike many other brand lip balms because the flavours are synthetic and taste like chemicals. With eos I don’t have to worry about this because eos “is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free.” I like the unique shape of this product because it is very hygienic and easy to locate in the bottom of my purse. Overall, I really loved this lip balm and will definitely be purchasing more in the future.
